HISTORICAL EVENT FOR ALICE
Today, Alice Project realized, after forty years of research, its vision and mission.
Thirty-five years ago I met HH the Dalai Lama and the . churches that suggested my life.
He answered, “Oh, that’s an important question. Gotta check it out ! “
A few days later, I was lucky enough to see him again, during a public meeting.
He recognized me and invited me to a room in his residence.
“I checked,” he said. “Journalism? A little negative. Education? Excellent, excellent, excellent! So beside your dharma practice come to India … “
I advise myself to go to India and work in the field of education.
I took her advice.
I left TV (I was a news director at A3) and went to India not knowing where to start my new “mission”.
Stopping at Sarnath 12 kilometres from Varanasi, symbol city of India.
After seeking advice from a great Lama of Pomerania, Geshe Ciampa Ghyatzo, I decided to start my education project right at Sarnath, the place where Buddha gave his first teachings of dharma.
Parties with 75 students and two classrooms.
It was the year 1994.
Since then, it’s been a non-stop success.
Now we have three schools, attended by around 1400 students, in three different states: Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh.
My biggest worry was who will leave the legacy of a unique research in the world.
Luck (or karma) brought me across a great Lama: Kyabje Gosok Rinpoche, a Buddhist monk recognized in Tibet as the emanation of an entire series of illustrious spiritual masters.
I offered him the project, the schools, our achievements, the future.
According to a new paradigm, he accepted the belief that the modern world can only be saved by proper education.
This morning, Rinpoche brought me, along with the President of the company and the head of the Italian Onlus, to His Holiness the Dalai Lama to inform him that my mission was accomplished and would continue in a perspective, what do you say? , more universal.
Happy to announce to all, students, teachers, sponsors…… that we have wasted no time in these thirty years and I have managed to honor the promise made to the guru of gurus, the Dalai Lama.
