Moon

Sara and I are studying the moon, she’s my moon buddy. She’s good. Rigerous. And she has a better view than I in the woods, for she has a panorama out to sea. Our first joint revelation is that the moon rises in the east and sets in the west – ie same as the sun.

What’s the connection with the tides? The difference in time appears the same.

Moon our nearest natural neighbour. Venus, nearest planet
1959 Russian rocket Lunic 3 photographed the dark side of the moon for the first time. Atlas of the Far Side of the Moon was created after image processing improved the pictures.

Patrick Moore describes how we can measure moon craters, with studio lights out and a lamp passsing over a home made moon surface. oh life before computer graphics.
