Flood the zone – fire the challenger

🚨 The Trump White House has just fired all six members of the Commission of Fine Arts, an independent federal agency that helps oversee major design projects in D.C.

The commissioners — all appointed by President Biden — were expected to review Trump’s planned $300 million White House ballroom and his proposed “triumphal arch.” Instead, they were abruptly terminated by email.

A White House official said Trump plans to appoint new members “aligned with his America First policies.”

The firings come days after Trump demolished the East Wing without public review. Architect Bruce Becker, one of those fired, said the commission “plays an important role in shaping how the public experiences our nation’s capital.”

Trump’s allies now control both key planning boards overseeing construction in Washington — clearing the way for his personal projects as Americans suffer under the government shutdown.
