Interpretation Boards

Checking these out to create one for Holton Pits. See end for potential scope, and images and artists

Wessleton Panel – from Howard Mottram

Next stage:

To confirm text (with directors, Jamie Mac, Howard, Edith – anyone else?)
To confirm photo images, and get good resolution copies of these.
To commission artist for drawings
To commission a designer to pull all this together (I’m asking Millennium Green who did theirs – Mustard Creative, who used to be based in Halesworth Cut, which may be a nice local connecting)
To decide on size and proportion of each board (landscape, portrait etc)
To commission printer (EPS?)
To commission frame (wood/metal etc)

BRIEF

Two interpretation boards A1

LECTERN STYLE?

One for the southwold road end

One for the cliff (SSSI)

Must include a map with footpaths and areas, eg SSSI, Countryside, lake,

To inspire and inform strangers who come to the Pits a bit about the area they have arrived at, the history and pathways.

To enhance visitors experience, encouraging them to dip into the history, unique aspects or points of interest.

To display our funders

To point to further information – bar code, web page

Not to be time bound and hopefully last and be relevant for the next 10 years

Here’s a good site with some examples on it https://info-point.com/what-is-an-interpretation-board/
