Dunwich walk – sea, moss, cream cake

After a week in the wood and on the land, dogs needed a stretch. As we rocked up at Dunwich car park, passenger window open, Brows jumped out and made a dash for the sea, he could not contain himself. A group of walkers were open mouthed. So naturally we started along the beach, Sizewell in the distance, tide out so easy walking on firm sand. Cut back in and backtracked to the Coastguard cottages, to find a delicious scone cream jam and flat white, in light rain. Dogs on leads over the health, then back through Dunwich grey friars woods, finding myself delighted I do not live in one of these rambling beautiful houses – far too much up keep. Amazing turkey tail and verdant green fungi.
